John Troxell Maxey
John Troxell MAXEY, born November 10, 1814, in Greene, Ohio, when his father, Stephen, was 27 and his mother, Fanny, was 29.
He married Charity STARR on December 24, 1840, in Greene, Ohio. They had six children in 19 years.
In 1863 he worked with Henry Alder, Surveyor for the county of Madison, to survey and establish the lines and boundaries of the new Paint township, erecting proper monuments at the corners.
In 1864 he was a Justice of the Peace.
He died on July 29, 1877, in Paint, Ohio, at the age of 62, and was buried in London, Ohio.
