Thomas, Napoleon Magruder

Napoleon Magruder Thomas was born in May of 1844 in Albemarle, Virginia, when his father, Garland, was 31 and his mother, Alice, was 23.

Napoleon served in the Confederate Army and fought on June 11 and 12, 1864 in the Battle of Trevilian Station, also know as “Custer’s First Last Stand.”

He married Julia Wallace Poindexter on November 7, 1867, in Louisa, Virginia. They had nine children
