Thomas, John Paul

John Paul Thomas, born on June 25, 1892, in Gordonsville, Virginia, was the only son of  Napoleon, (48) and his mother, Julia Wallace Poindexter Thomas (42)

He had one brother, George, and four sisters;  Nellie,  Lula, Martha,

John Paul served in WWI, where he lost his thumb,  his nieces and nephews told the story that he would wave the stump around to scare them.

He died on March 27, 1961, in Fayette, West Virginia, at the age of 68, and was buried in Oak Hill, West Virginia.
